Nearly one year ago, on Jan. 18, 2020, before the world went on lockdown due to COVID, there was another danger making news in Big Bear Lake. A family of three, ignoring warning signs to stay off the ice, fell through into the chilly waters of Big Bear Lake near Stanfield Cutoff.
